Project Update | Tai'an High-tech Zone New Materials Industrial Park Wastewater Treatment Center Officially Enters Commissioning Stage

Recently, the Tai'an High-tech Zone New Materials Industrial Park Wastewater Treatment Center (Phase I) project undertaken by Tongyong Environmental Protection Group reported a key milestone! Facing the continuous high temperatures and scorching heat of July and August, the on-site construction team rose to the challenge and tightly grasped the schedule. At present, the professional construction at the project site has been basically completed, and the project has officially shifted from the construction stage to the system commissioning stage, comprehensively sprinting toward the goal of completion and operation.





Focusing on the Battery Industry

Building a Solid Ecological Barrier



As an important water environment infrastructure of the park, this project is designed with a treatment scale of 8,000 m³/d, mainly undertaking the disposal tasks of production wastewater and supporting wastewater from the battery industry within the Tai'an High-tech Zone New Materials Industrial Park. The effluent quality of the project needs to stably meet the Comprehensive Discharge Standard of Water Pollutants in River Basins (DB37/3416.1-2018) and relevant document requirements of the Construction Management Department of Tai'an High-tech Zone.

After the project is completed and put into operation, it will effectively fill the gap in the park's wastewater treatment infrastructure, provide solid water environment protection for the landing of new materials industries, and help the coordinated development of the regional industrial economy and ecological environment.



Tackling Technical Difficulties

Breaking Down Core Processes



In response to the prominent challenges of battery industry wastewater such as high hardness, high silicon, high fluorine, and abundant refractory organic matter, Tongyong Environmental Protection Group has tailor-made a combined process route of "multi-stage biochemical + advanced treatment" for it, focusing on overcoming industry technical barriers such as silicon removal, hardness removal, and fluorine removal.


Overall Process Flow:

Pretreatment stage: Precisely dosing softening and silicon removal chemicals to efficiently remove water hardness and silicon components, curbing the risk of scaling in subsequent systems from the source;

Biochemical stage: Through hydrolysis and acidification, greatly improving the biodegradability of wastewater, and then through two-stage AO reaction tanks with segmented alternating denitrification and degradation, deeply reducing core pollutants such as COD and ammonia nitrogen level by level;

Advanced treatment stage: Dosing high-efficiency composite fluoride removal agents to achieve solid-liquid separation, precisely solving the problem of high-fluorine water quality;

Ultimate guarantee stage: Relying on catalytic ozonation technology to generate strong oxidizing free radicals, efficiently degrading residual refractory organic matter and color, with no secondary pollution throughout the entire process, ensuring that every drop of water is stably discharged up to standard.

At present, the on-site tank structures, process equipment, and electrical control systems have basically been put in place. Under the premise of strictly adhering to the bottom lines of safety and quality, the construction team is intensively carrying out single-machine commissioning of equipment and system joint debugging to ensure the project is delivered and put into operation on schedule with high quality.
