The event was organized by the Wuxi International Economic and Trade Promotion Center and other units, with the Yixing Service Trade Association participating as a supporting organization.

Part.01

Diplomacy Building Bridges · African Voices

外交搭桥·非洲声音

Mr. Livingstone Wahuro, Commercial Counselor of the Kenyan Embassy in China, delivered the opening address. He highly affirmed the long-term friendly economic and trade relations between China and Kenya, pointing out that Kenya, as the economic hub of East Africa, has enormous market demand in infrastructure construction, clean energy, water treatment, and power transmission, and warmly welcomed Yixing enterprises to invest and develop in Kenya.

Subsequently, Mr. Teddy Gu, China Representative of the Ghana Industries Association, and Mr. Ochen, Chief Representative of Uasin Gishu County, Kenya, respectively introduced the urgent needs of local livelihood projects and invited Yixing enterprises to participate in the investment and construction of various projects. Several African foreign business representatives also sincerely shared their insights on industry needs, cooperation models, and localized operation experience. The frontline voices of African guests gave participating enterprises an intuitive sense of the real temperature and sincerity for cooperation in the African market.

Part.02

Authoritative Interpretation · Practical Breakthroughs

权威解读·实战破局

Mr. Xiao Feng, Vice President of MIE Group, delivered a systematic, professional, and practical market analysis, using "Three Breakthroughs" to break down the situation layer by layer.

Break Through Cognitive Barriers. The real Africa is one of the fastest-growing regions in the global economy, with a population of 1.5 billion and an average age of just 19. Over the past decade, Africa accounted for six of the world's fastest-growing economies.

Break Through Opportunity Blind Spots. Kenya's clean energy power generation accounts for 89.4%, yet the national electricity access rate is only 79%, dropping to 58% in rural areas. The industrial electricity gap reaches 40%, and industrial electricity prices are approximately 3–4 times those of China.

Break Through Path Dependence. Over 90% of Kenya's large-scale power projects are contracted by Chinese enterprises. Solar product imports are over 90% dependent on foreign sources, with 87% coming from China. The water treatment market was approximately USD 1.8 billion in 2025, with a compound annual growth rate of 7%.

Xiao Feng also combined successful cases of Jiangsu enterprises investing and cooperating in Kenya to emphasize that Yixing's environmental protection, new energy, and power supporting industries are highly compatible with the Kenyan market — this is a gold mine that the times have gifted to Yixing's manufacturing sector.

Part.03

Association Synergy · Cluster Going Global

协会聚力·集群出海

Mr. Jiang Zihou, President of the Yixing Service Trade Association, appeared together with six member enterprises, comprehensively showcasing Yixing's cluster strength as a national environmental protection industry highland and a new energy and power industry cluster.

President Jiang Zihou systematically introduced to the foreign guests and attendees the development status, technological highlights, and going-global potential of Yixing's advantageous industries including environmental protection, new energy, wires and cables, and power supporting facilities. He pointed out that Yixing possesses a complete industrial chain and solid technological accumulation, and "Yixing Manufacturing" enjoys a good reputation in the international market. The association has always been committed to building a professional platform for government-enterprise communication, supply-demand matching, and international cooperation.

Far East Cable was specially invited to share its case of deeply cultivating Africa for many years, including its breakthrough from 0 to 1 in going global, maintaining double-digit export growth annually, and its localized operation experience of establishing a subsidiary in Kenya, providing a highly valuable practical model for enterprises on site.

Subsequently, representatives from five enterprises — Binuo Environmental Protection, Zebang Environmental Protection, Longdai Environmental Protection, Weixin Environmental Protection, and Tongyong Environmental Protection — took the stage to present, showcasing their core technologies, advantageous products, application scenarios, and Africa market adaptation solutions. African guests on site showed strong interest in Yixing enterprises and expressed their intention to further connect on specific projects.

Part.04

Where is the Blue Ocean: Market Opportunities in Kenya

蓝海何在:肯尼亚的市场机遇

Why is Kenya called the "Bridgehead" of East Africa? Data and facts provide the answer.

Geographic and Logistical Advantages. Mombasa Port (the largest port in East Africa), the Mombasa–Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway (reducing freight time from two days to four hours), and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport form an efficient logistics network.

Political Security and International Endorsement. The United Nations African headquarters and the African headquarters of over 100 multinational corporations are located in Nairobi. 80,000 Chinese nationals and over 400 Chinese-funded enterprises form a complete ecosystem. China-Kenya relations were upgraded to a "China-Kenya Community with a Shared Future for the New Era" in April 2025.

Rigid Market Gaps.
Power: By 2030, geothermal installed capacity will double, with enormous demand for photovoltaics, energy storage, grid transformation, and smart meters.
Water: Rural water supply coverage is only 50%. In the next five years, 120 new water plants are planned and 80 are to be upgraded.
Infrastructure: 500,000 people migrate to cities annually, with a large housing gap and building material prices 2–3 times those in China.

With large-scale infrastructure construction, rapid urbanization, the rise of the middle class, combined with the political stability of being home to the UN headquarters and a well-developed logistics network, today's Kenya has become the "economic heart" of the 8 countries of the East African Community and the 26 countries of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa.

This exchange conference, from diplomatic bridge-building to authoritative interpretation, from cluster promotion to in-depth analysis, injected confidence and momentum into Yixing enterprises' exploration of the Kenyan and African markets from multiple dimensions. Participating enterprise representatives expressed that they now have a clear understanding of the real needs and cooperation paths in the African market, and will actively leverage the association's platform and professional resources to go global as a group, firmly establishing the golden brand of "Yixing Manufacturing" on the highlands of East Africa.

The Yixing Service Trade Association will also continue to follow up on cooperation intentions, promote precise matching between Chinese and African enterprises, and help Yixing's advantageous industries write a new chapter on the global stage.
